AI/Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a proactive AI/Machine Learning Engineer to design, build, and optimise recommendation and ranking systems at scale. You will develop models that deliver personalised experiences and work closely with cross‑functional teams in a modern cloud environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build recommendation and ranking models, including learning‑to‑rank, re‑ranking, gradient‑boosted and neural rankers.
• Optimise models for multiple objectives using Pareto‑front analysis and conduct offline evaluation with metrics such as NDCG and recall@k.
• Address position and selection bias in logged data, apply statistical rigour, and design A/B tests and holdout experiments.
• Process large‑scale behavioural and clickstream data, maintain version‑controlled code in Git, and track experiments throughout the model lifecycle.
• Deploy and manage machine‑learning workflows on a cloud data platform and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver production‑ready solutions.

Required profile

• 3+ years of hands‑on experience building recommendation or ranking models.
• Strong background in statistics, significance testing, confidence intervals and A/B test design.
• Experience with large‑scale data processing and cloud data platforms, preferably Databricks.
• Upper‑Intermediate English proficiency (B2) or higher.
