Senior Infrastructure Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our engineering team and take ownership of Linux‑based infrastructure, virtualization, and production maintenance. The role focuses on reliability, automation, and seamless change management in a dynamic, remote‑first environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Linux servers (Debian, Rocky Linux) and Proxmox VE clusters.
• Manage the full VM lifecycle: provisioning, live migration, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Plan and execute system and Proxmox updates, including major version upgrades.
• Design and run infrastructure maintenance windows and disaster‑recovery procedures.
• Automate repetitive tasks with Ansible, Bash scripts, and Git version control.
• Troubleshoot compute, storage, networking, and OS issues across production environments.

Required profile

• 5+ years hands‑on Linux administration experience.
• Strong production experience with Proxmox VE, KVM/QEMU and cluster concepts (quorum, Corosync).
• Deep knowledge of ZFS pools, datasets, snapshots, replication and recovery.
• Proven ability to plan and execute high‑risk changes with proper rollback procedures.
