Senior System Engineer

About the role

Neo Group is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join an engineering team focused on platform engineering, automation, and reliability. The role involves building reusable infrastructure capabilities and improving developer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Help evolve infrastructure toward a platform engineering model and automate workflows.
• Build reusable capabilities for databases, messaging, secrets, DNS, compute, monitoring, and application environments.
• Develop internal tooling, APIs, and declarative workflows for lifecycle management.
• Integrate Kubernetes, CI/CD, networking, secrets management, databases, and observability systems.
• Participate in architecture and technical design of platform services.
• Improve reliability, scalability, and operational simplicity of production infrastructure.
• Investigate complex infrastructure and production issues across Linux, networking, applications, and distributed systems.
• Enhance observability, diagnostics, and troubleshooting capabilities.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience in infrastructure, systems, SRE, DevOps or production engineering.
• Strong Linux administration, networking knowledge and distributed‑systems troubleshooting.
• Hands‑on experience operating Kubernetes in production.
• Practical experience with IaC tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation workflows.
• Programming or scripting skills in Python, Go, Java, Bash or similar.
