Azure Systems Architect – Remote (Armenia)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Azure Systems Architect to design, build, and operate scalable, secure, and highly‑available solutions on Microsoft Azure. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from any location in Armenia while collaborating with cross‑functional teams.

Key responsibilities

• Architect end‑to‑end Azure solutions with a focus on scalability, security, and high availability.
• Design and maintain robust deployment pipelines, supporting rollbacks, blue/green, and canary releases.
• Create and keep up‑to‑date architecture documentation, infrastructure diagrams, and production runbooks.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and logging strategies using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Define best practices for capacity planning, auto‑scaling, backup, and disaster recovery in Azure.
• Ensure compliance with standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, and SOC 2.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to develop Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, ARM templates, or Bicep.
• Work with Solutions Architects and application teams to design integrations and guarantee platform readiness.
• Assist Project and Delivery Managers with production‑readiness, go‑live planning, and execution.
• Drive cloud cost optimization and resource efficiency across Azure environments.

Required profile

• Proven experience designing and launching complex systems on Microsoft Azure.
• Strong understanding of Azure services such as App Services, AKS, Azure SQL, Storage, and Networking.
• Hands‑on expertise with CI/CD pipelines and advanced deployment strategies.
• Deep knowledge of monitoring, alerting, logging, capacity planning, backup, and disaster recovery in Azure.
• Solid grasp of cloud security, compliance, and governance best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and experience working in cross‑functional teams.
