Child Protection Specialist (Fixed‑Term)

About the role

UNICEF Armenia is seeking a motivated Child Protection Specialist to lead and support evidence‑based programmes that strengthen child protection systems and promote children’s rights, safety and well‑being across the country.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate programme and project development, including situation analysis, strategic planning and design of child protection interventions.
• Oversee implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes to ensure results, efficient use of resources and incorporation of lessons learned.
• Provide technical guidance and operational support to government counterparts, civil society, UN agencies and other partners.
• Build and maintain partnerships with national and international organisations, donors, academia and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to policy dialogue and translate UNICEF standards into effective field interventions.

Required profile

• Professional experience in developing and managing child protection programmes in a national context.
• Strong understanding of the legal and policy framework for child protection in Armenia.
• Ability to work under the guidance of the Deputy Representative and collaborate with cross‑sectoral teams.
• Excellent analytical, planning and reporting skills.
