Senior C++ Software Engineer (Gameplay)

About the role

Playrix is looking for a Senior C++ Software Engineer specialized in gameplay to join its AI‑first engineering culture. You will work on mobile games that have reached billions of installs, helping to raise product quality and development speed through modern tools and AI‑driven workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Program core gameplay mechanics and logic.
• Design and review feature architecture.
• Implement UI components and visual effects.
• Profile and optimise memory usage and frame‑rate.
• Mentor junior engineers and conduct code reviews.

Required profile

• At least 4 years of experience developing commercial projects in C++ and/or Unity.
• Proven track record of shipping projects to production.
• Understanding of AI infrastructure and modern development tools, with ability to integrate them into the workflow.
• Experience designing software architecture for game features.

Required skills

• C++ (modern standards C++14/17 preferred).
• Lua and Python for scripting tasks.
• Graphics APIs: OpenGL ES and Metal.
• CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and code‑review processes.
• AI assistance tools such as Claude, Cursor and Codex.
• Familiarity with internal integration platforms (GitHub, Asana, Amplitude).
