Backend Engineering Lead (Go / Node.js)

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Engineering Lead to drive the design, development, and operation of high‑performance backend services. You will mentor a team of engineers, shape the architecture, and ensure the platform scales reliably.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor backend engineers, providing technical guidance and support.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high‑performance backend services.
• Own backend architecture and influence key technical decisions.
• Establish engineering best practices, coding standards, and development processes.
• Conduct code reviews to guarantee high‑quality, maintainable code.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Frontend, QA, DevOps, and other stakeholders.
• Identify technical risks and propose effective mitigation strategies.
• Improve system performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle from planning to deployment and monitoring.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production and technical issues.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong commercial experience with Go or Node.js.
• Experience designing and developing RESTful APIs or microservices.
• Solid knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
• Experience with cloud platforms and containerization technologies like AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Good understanding of distributed systems, scalability, performance, and system architecture.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern development practices.
• Previous experience leading or mentoring engineers.
• Upper‑intermediate or higher level of English.
