Deputy Head of International Legal Department

About the role

SoftConstruct is seeking a Deputy Head of International Legal Department to lead its legal function across borders. The role combines strategic oversight with hands‑on management of legal matters, ensuring compliance with Armenian legislation and supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with business goals.
• Provide counsel on Armenian laws, regulatory issues and corporate governance.
• Draft, negotiate and review contracts, agreements and other legal documents.
• Identify, assess and mitigate legal risks in operations and transactions.
• Monitor legislative changes and ensure organization‑wide compliance.
• Manage litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution in partnership with external counsel.
• Oversee intellectual property protection, including trademarks and copyrights.
• Coordinate regulatory audits, investigations and gaming‑related compliance.
• Support the Head of Legal in leading the legal team, mentoring staff and improving processes.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Law, licensed to practice in Armenia.
• Minimum five years of legal experience, including at least two years in a senior or managerial role.
• Strong expertise in Armenian corporate, business and contract law.
• Proven track record in risk management, regulatory compliance and dispute resolution.
• Fluent in Armenian, Russian and English.
• Excellent analytical, negotiation and problem‑solving abilities.
