Manager, International Commercial Transactions Legal Team

About the role

SoftConstruct is seeking an experienced legal professional to lead its International Commercial Transactions Legal Team. The manager will provide strategic direction, ensure high‑quality legal support for cross‑border deals, and drive continuous improvement of legal processes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the International Commercial Transactions team, overseeing performance and professional development.
• Supervise drafting, review, and negotiation of international commercial contracts such as sales, distribution, licensing, and joint‑venture agreements.
• Provide expert legal advice on complex cross‑border transactions, ensuring compliance with applicable international laws, trade regulations, export controls, and anti‑bribery rules.
• Coordinate with Finance, Compliance, Procurement and other functions to guarantee seamless execution of international deals.
• Identify, evaluate, and mitigate legal risks, and lead dispute‑resolution efforts across jurisdictions.
• Serve as primary liaison for internal and external stakeholders, including partners, external counsel, and regulatory authorities.
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and support the company’s international growth strategy.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Law; Master’s degree or certifications in International Business Law or Commercial Law is a plus.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in international commercial law or related legal practice.
• Proven leadership experience managing a legal team.
• Strong understanding of international trade regulations, export controls, and anti‑bribery legislation.
