Application Support Engineer

About the role

KX is seeking an Application Support Engineer to ensure the stability, reliability, and performance of its market surveillance platform used by leading financial institutions worldwide. You will work at the intersection of system reliability, monitoring, and customer support, helping customers resolve incidents quickly while improving operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor critical platform components and detect anomalies using observability tools.
• Investigate and resolve incidents, coordinating with Product and Engineering teams.
• Communicate incident status and resolution steps clearly to both technical and non‑technical customers.
• Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to support workflows.
• Document incident details and contribute to knowledge‑base articles.

Required profile

• Experience in Application Support, Site Reliability Engineering, Technical Support, or a similar operational role.
• Familiarity with ITSM concepts such as Incident, Problem, and Service Request Management.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities with a detail‑oriented mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and manage competing priorities.

Required skills

• Airflow (or similar workflow orchestration tool) – UI navigation, DAG inspection, failure analysis.
• Grafana (or similar dashboarding tool) – interpreting dashboards, alert conditions, anomaly investigation.
• Git – version control operations.
• CI/CD pipelines – familiarity with continuous integration and deployment practices.
