Chief Accountant

About the role

The Chief Accountant will safeguard the financial integrity of ASBIS Group, ensuring accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial management across the organization.

Key responsibilities

• Process primary accounting documents and record sales operations in the accounting system.
• Manage debtor and creditor balances, perform inventory accounting, and handle banking transactions.
• Oversee payroll, prepare accounting documentation, and generate financial reports.
• Prepare and submit tax declarations on time and verify balance accuracy.
• Maintain and improve the 1C (8.3) accounting software and collaborate with internal teams.
• Control document workflow, review customer contracts for financial risk, and liaise with auditors, tax authorities, banks, and other regulators.
• Monitor fixed assets, inventories, intangible assets, and reconcile balances with customers, suppliers, and related parties.

Required profile

• Higher education in Economics, Accounting, Finance or Credit.
• Expert Accountant qualification (mandatory) and preferably ACCA or similar advanced training.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Chief Accountant.
• Strong analytical mindset, systematic approach, and high responsibility.
• Fluent in Armenian and Russian.
• Experience in distribution or international companies is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 1C (version 8.3) accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Payroll calculation expertise.
• Comprehensive knowledge of accounting, tax, and management accounting processes.
