Data Analyst

About the role

Siemens EDA is seeking a Data Analyst to build, enhance and maintain analytics assets that turn large data sets into actionable insights. The role supports global customer support teams, drives operational excellence and contributes to the company’s electronic design automation software business.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and improve dashboards and reports that enable data‑driven decision making.
• Manipulate and analyse large data sets to uncover trends, patterns and performance opportunities.
• Design, implement and manage data pipelines, from ingestion through transformation, storage and refresh scheduling.
• Create robust data models (star/snowflake schemas, semantic layers) and ensure consistent metric definitions.
• Collaborate with global support managers to understand needs, improve service delivery and optimise operational KPIs.
• Build interfaces and applications for data access, user management and control.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt modern programming, data analysis and machine‑learning tools to strengthen the analytics platform.

Required profile

• BS/MS degree with at least 5 years of experience in data analytics, analytics engineering, data engineering or related fields.
• Proven ability to translate complex data into actionable insights that drive operational excellence.
• Strong communication skills in English, with experience working across cultures and seniority levels.

• Power BI (visualisations, datasets, semantic models, RLS/OLS, workspace governance)
• Dimensional modelling and KPI/metric design
• Data‑lake, data‑warehouse and data‑mart concepts
• Cloud data pipelines and orchestration tools
• Experience with Snowflake and Microsoft Fabric (preferred)
• Familiarity with AI‑enabled development tools and Copilot‑style automation
