DevSecOps Engineer (Payment Integrations)

About the role

We are building a payment gateway that handles user funds for merchants and vice‑versa. The platform stores payment data and must meet PCI DSS compliance, integrating with multiple payment providers and 3‑DS. As a DevSecOps Engineer you will secure the entire infrastructure while enabling rapid, reliable deployments.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage AWS infrastructure with a focus on security controls and secure configuration.
• Automate cloud operations and ensure all deployments follow security baselines.
• Implement IAM, network security, encryption, monitoring and other best‑practice controls.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines that embed SCA, SAST and other automated security checks.
• Set up security monitoring and logging using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, AWS Security Hub and related tools.
• Manage security alerting, incident detection and response.
• Conduct PCI DSS assessments, vulnerability and change management, and prepare for audits.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to foster shared responsibility.
• Train team members on DevSecOps principles and secure engineering practices.
• Continuously optimise AWS resources for security, performance, scalability and cost.
• Maintain documentation and produce regular reports on security posture and audit readiness.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience managing cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS.
• Strong knowledge of DevSecOps methodologies, CI/CD, containerisation and orchestration.
• Hands‑on experience with PCI DSS requirements and compliance implementation.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate security concepts clearly.
