Engineering Manager, Language Security

About the role

TuxCare is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to own its Language Security Research function. You will lead four dedicated teams responsible for delivering security patches for end‑of‑life and active open‑source language runtimes and frameworks, ensuring enterprise customers stay secure and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop four language security teams (Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, PHP) totaling ~18 engineers.
• Define hiring plans, conduct performance reviews and drive career development.
• Set and enforce standards for CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch backporting and security release processes.
• Ensure consistency in tooling, CI/CD pipelines and release workflows across all language ecosystems.
• Own SLA compliance, align delivery with client expectations and coordinate with OS, Docker and platform teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on software development across multiple language ecosystems.
• At least 3 years of engineering management experience leading technical teams.
• Strong expertise in security vulnerability analysis and patch backporting.
• Proven ability to build a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
