Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (AI‑augmented Test Automation)

About the role

We are looking for a QA Automation Engineer to own product quality for an AI‑powered companion that interacts via video, voice or text. The role focuses on building automated test suites and AI‑driven test agents rather than manual execution.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the testing roadmap, introducing Vitest for frontend logic and Deno tests for edge functions with mocked LLM fixtures.
• Run AI feature‑test agents that generate test plans from tickets, execute them via Playwright, and report evidence in Linear.
• Maintain and expand a multi‑tier regression suite covering browser, API, i18n, billing and iOS flows.
• Review acceptance criteria, flag ambiguities early, and verify releases, reducing manual post‑release checks.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in QA or test automation with ownership of test code in TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Proficiency with Playwright (or Cypress/WebdriverIO) in CI, including flaky‑test diagnosis.
• Daily use of AI agents for testing and ability to demonstrate them live.
• Strong written English; German strongly preferred for i18n review.
