Integration Architect

About the role

We are looking for an Integration Architect to design and govern end‑to‑end integration architecture that connects our developer portal with enterprise observability, ITSM and monitoring platforms. The role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere in Armenia while collaborating with Backstage, Azure and VMware architects.

Key responsibilities

• Define integration architecture, API contracts, data models, authentication patterns and event flows linking Backstage to observability, ITSM and monitoring tools.
• Architect monitoring integration, embedding dashboards (Grafana/LGTM) per catalog entity and handling authentication passthrough.
• Design ITSM/CMDB integration with ServiceNow, including CI schema mapping, synchronization jobs, ticket creation and error handling.
• Lead GitOps integration with ArgoCD, covering plugin integration, API authentication, entity‑annotation mapping and RBAC projection.
• Own announcements and notifications integration, configuring email/Teams webhooks and publisher RBAC.
• Define database visibility for Azure SQL, Cosmos DB and PostgreSQL and search integration with Elasticsearch/pgsearch.
• Architect SDD document generation from repository and infrastructure‑as‑code metadata.
• Collaborate with architects to ensure telemetry and metadata are correctly surfaced in the portal and provide governance during implementation.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience designing system integrations across monitoring/observability, ITSM/CMDB and GitOps tools.
• Hands‑on experience with ServiceNow (CI schema design, synchronization, ticket workflows).
• Proven ability to design API contracts, authentication (OIDC) and event‑driven integration flows.
• Experience integrating cloud databases (Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL) for metadata and observability.
