International Consultant – Migration Strategy Review

About the role

International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks an experienced consultant to provide technical guidance on revising Armenia’s Migration and Asylum Strategy, ensuring alignment with EU acquis and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct a comprehensive review of existing migration and asylum policy documents, the draft strategy and related EU frameworks.
• Provide recommendations on the structure, coherence and alignment of the strategy with EU standards.
• Carry out stakeholder consultations (online) with government counterparts and partners, gather feedback and incorporate it into the revision.
• Perform gap analysis and benchmarking against international models, identifying missing or outdated elements.
• Prepare an inception report, assessment report and a final recommendations report, including an actionable roadmap.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in international relations, law, migration, security or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in migration policy, with proven ability to interpret EU acquis and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience working with public administration, governmental institutions and international organizations.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) required.
