IT Support Specialist / Engineer

About the role

MX Systems is seeking an IT Infrastructure & Field Technician to join its technical team. This full‑time position blends office‑based IT support with on‑site installations and maintenance at customer locations, offering hands‑on experience across a wide range of IT infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for computers, laptops, networks, servers and related equipment.
• Travel to client sites to install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot CCTV, security systems, structured and low‑voltage cabling, and cable tray installations.
• Install and configure network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls and Wi‑Fi equipment.
• Assist with server installation, configuration, virtualization and ongoing maintenance.
• Perform hardware diagnostics, repairs, testing and documentation of completed work.

Required profile

• Basic knowledge of IT hardware, networking concepts and TCP/IP/OSI model.
• Understanding of structured cabling and low‑voltage systems.
• Ability to use hand and basic technical tools safely.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and a responsible, independent work attitude.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and communicate professionally.

• CCTV and IP camera/NVR systems
• Structured cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber) and cable trays
• Low‑voltage installations
• Routers, switches, firewalls and Wi‑Fi equipment
• Servers, virtualization, Windows and Linux operating systems
• PC assembly and repair
• Knowledge of MikroTik, Ubiquiti, Cisco, Fortinet equipment
• TCP/IP, OSI model and basic network concepts
