Java Developer – Remote

About the role

TuxCare is seeking a passionate Java Developer to join its Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) team. You will work remotely on secure Java instrumentation for diverse Java‑based environments, helping enterprises keep legacy applications safe and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze publicly disclosed CVEs affecting Java open‑source libraries and frameworks.
• Identify safe, compatible versions of third‑party dependencies.
• Backport security patches from newer releases to older versions.
• Fix or mitigate vulnerabilities when no upstream patch exists.
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑documented code.
• Collaborate with engineers and security specialists to deliver production‑ready updates.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Java Core and Spring.
• Experience with dependency‑management tools such as Maven, Gradle, or Ant.
• Daily use of AI tools and CI/CD platforms (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub).
• Ability to work with legacy systems and maintain backward compatibility.
• Upper‑intermediate English proficiency.
