Laboratory Technician

About the role

The Laboratory Technician will work full‑time on‑site at CIS Armenia in Yerevan, supporting science teaching across all grade levels. The role ensures laboratories are ready, safe and well‑maintained for practical lessons.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and maintain science laboratories and equipment for daily lessons and experiments.
• Set up experiments, clean and store equipment, and monitor the use of materials.
• Maintain accurate inventory of chemicals and supplies, ordering when necessary.
• Implement health and safety regulations, conduct safety checks and ensure compliance.
• Assist teachers with basic troubleshooting of laboratory tools and instruments.

Required profile

• Prior experience as a laboratory technician or similar support role, preferably in an educational setting.
• Relevant science education at college or university level (Biology, Chemistry, Physics or related).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and reliability in managing equipment and materials.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff and students.
• Basic English communication skills and willingness to learn school‑specific procedures.
