Lead AI Engineer – Machine Learning & Neural Networks

About the role

We are looking for a Lead AI Engineer to drive the design and implementation of cutting‑edge neural network solutions for AI‑focused hardware. You will work remotely from anywhere in Armenia, collaborating with experts in computer architecture, ASIC design, compilers, and neural network compilers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and iterate on neural network architectures using PyTorch to achieve optimal performance on diverse tasks.
• Train, validate, and fine‑tune machine‑learning models on relevant datasets, ensuring high accuracy and robustness.
• Investigate and troubleshoot model performance issues, continuously improving results.
• Analyze how models map onto Tenstorrent devices through compilation steps and kernel development.
• Identify functional and performance gaps, proposing innovative solutions.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams working on compilers, LLMs, and CNNs.
• Deploy neural networks for various applications, guaranteeing scalability and reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in machine learning and AI engineering.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience in a technical team.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands‑on experience with PyTorch.
• Proven expertise in designing, training, and deploying neural networks.
• Solid understanding of supervised and unsupervised learning techniques.
• Experience investigating and resolving model performance issues.
• Ability to map models onto specialized AI hardware through compilation and kernel work.
• Excellent English communication skills (B2 level or higher).
