Lead AI Python Engineer

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Lead AI Python Engineer to join its Python AI Competence Center. You will tackle advanced technical challenges, drive innovation in Generative AI, and deliver AI‑powered solutions for client projects and internal products while working fully remotely from anywhere in Armenia.

Key responsibilities

• Design AI‑driven applications using Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI.
• Architect scalable, cloud‑based infrastructures for AI solutions.
• Deploy optimized Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG), and Generative AI features into production.
• Translate business requirements into robust AI solutions in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Write well‑documented, high‑quality code that follows industry standards.
• Adopt emerging technologies in Python, cloud platforms, and AI to advance development innovation.

Required profile

• Senior‑ to architect‑level software development experience with hands‑on coding.
• Proven production experience with Generative AI, prompt engineering, and model fine‑tuning.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and collaborative teamwork experience.
• Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Passion for advancing Generative AI projects.
