Platform Architect

About the role

EPAM Armenia is looking for a senior Platform Architect to lead the migration of an on‑premises Kubernetes platform to the LightOps platform. The role is fully remote within Armenia, supporting subsea production and monitoring use cases across microservices, event‑driven processing, graph‑based modeling and time‑series ingestion services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse the current platform landscape and microservices architecture.
• Validate the target LightOps architecture and refine migration strategy.
• Identify risks, gaps and resource requirements for the migration scope.
• Define workstreams, create a migration roadmap and sequence activities.
• Support the selection of additional consultants and shape the delivery team.
• Guide platform adoption for Kubernetes modernization and service‑mesh implementation.

Required profile

• 8+ years of platform engineering experience with deep Kubernetes expertise.
• Proven track record leading complex platform migrations and modernization programs.
• Strong knowledge of security, zero‑trust, and secret‑management practices.
