Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer

About the role

Humain Dev Systems is looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to build and own our automated test frameworks end‑to‑end, drive API and UI testing, and ensure the delivery of high‑quality software across our products. You will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of automated tests for both backend APIs and frontend user flows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own the test automation framework across the stack, including API/integration tests against Laravel endpoints and Playwright E2E tests.
• Automate core end‑to‑end user flows and build regression coverage for data pipeline ingestion, sync, and update jobs.
• Test external integrations using contract/mock strategies for Salesforce, Stripe, DocuSign, Postmark email, and Twilio SMS.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines, ensuring fast, reliable, and actionable results without flaky suites.
• Validate background jobs and queues for idempotency, retries, batch processing, and failure handling.
• Own the defect lifecycle: reproduce, isolate, write clear repro steps, and verify fixes.
• Partner with backend and frontend engineers on testability, defining QA standards, coverage targets, and release checklists.
• Report quality metrics such as coverage, escaped defects, flakiness, and release readiness to development leadership.

Required profile

• 3+ years in QA automation with senior‑level ownership of an end‑to‑end test framework.
• Strong API test automation experience against REST backends and ability to read PHP/Laravel codebases.
• Proficient with Playwright for testing React SPA end‑to‑end flows, including OAuth/Passport auth, role‑based views, and network interception.
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar) with parallel execution and flake control.
• SQL and data validation skills to verify correctness across large relational datasets.
• Strong debugging instinct to trace failures through the full stack and distinguish data problems from code problems.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
