Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Principal Forward Deployed AI Engineer to lead end‑to‑end AI delivery across multiple streams. The role involves guiding mini‑teams, collaborating with business stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers and analysts, and building production‑grade agentic AI systems. This fully remote position is open to candidates located anywhere in Armenia.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end AI delivery for two streams and lead a mini‑team per stream (Senior AI Engineer, AI Engineer, DQ Engineer, Analyst).
• Partner with business stakeholders, solution architects, data engineers and analysts to refine requirements and user journeys.
• Design and implement agent architecture, harnesses, and connections to data sources, including RAG pipelines.
• Create SME/end‑user feedback loops to drive continuous agent improvement.
• Build evaluation pipelines and establish an agent‑evaluation process using LLM‑as‑judge methods.
• Develop observability and telemetry layers, including tracing and quality metrics.
• Determine optimal user journeys for chat versus A2UI interactions.
• Influence ETL, transformation and vectorization decisions.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering with a proven record of leading teams and delivering production AI systems.
• Deep expertise in agent architecture design, orchestration frameworks, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Strong background in designing evaluation pipelines and LLM‑as‑judge methodologies.
• Knowledge of observability, telemetry, and tracing systems.
• Understanding of ETL, data transformation and vectorization processes.
