Python Tech Lead

About the role

Grid Dynamics is seeking a Tech Lead with deep Python backend expertise to drive the development of an AI‑driven inventory replenishment platform. You will own the design and delivery of core services that power data ingestion, scoring, and recommendation feedback loops.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for backend services and REST APIs, including the data ingestion pipeline and remediation scoring engine.
• Design and implement a stateless Recommendation Agent service with scheduled batch triggers, SQL ingestion, and PostgreSQL write‑back.
• Architect asynchronous, distributed workflows using GCP services such as Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Tasks.
• Apply saga orchestration, idempotency, and retry/backoff patterns to ensure reliable message processing.
• Guide secure integration of external APIs and MCP endpoints, managing service accounts and row‑level data filtering.
• Set direction for CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and deployment coordination with infrastructure teams.
• Establish testing standards, define data contract schemas, and partner with AI/ML engineers on clean data pipelines.

Required profile

• 4+ years of backend engineering experience building production‑grade Python services.
• Strong hands‑on experience with saga orchestration and distributed system patterns.
• Practical experience building LLM‑powered agents using LangChain.
• Solid command of PostgreSQL, including query optimization and schema design.
• Experience deploying services on GCP (Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, Cloud Tasks).
• Proficiency with async programming in Python (asyncio) and Docker.
• Demonstrated testing discipline (unit, integration, contract testing).
