QA Automation Engineer (TypeScript & Playwright)

About the role

Buildern is seeking a QA Automation Engineer to design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end automated test suites for its construction management platform. You will work closely with developers to ensure software reliability and help shape the testing strategy from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and maintain E2E automated test scripts using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Create comprehensive test plans and documentation aligned with user stories.
• Write, execute, and maintain automated test cases throughout the product lifecycle.
• Collaborate with developers to reproduce, debug, and resolve complex defects.
• Mentor new team members and guide them in writing and maintaining automation code.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, especially asynchronous programming (async/await).
• Hands‑on experience with Playwright (or comparable tools such as Selenium or Cypress).
• Solid understanding of modern web technologies, DOM structures, CSS selectors, XPath, iframes and shadow DOM.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins) and automated API testing.
• Proactive mindset for identifying edge cases and preventing bugs before release.
