SAP FICO Engineering Manager

About the role

EPAM is seeking a skilled and goal‑oriented SAP FICO Engineering Manager to lead the design, implementation, and optimisation of SAP financial and controlling solutions. You will be responsible for delivering SAP projects that align technical strategy with organisational objectives while collaborating with global teams and stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of SAP FICO specialists across international locations.
• Manage the full employee lifecycle – recruitment, performance reviews, promotions, and compensation.
• Drive strategic global initiatives to expand and enhance the SAP FICO function.
• Prepare project proposals and statements of work together with IT and business stakeholders.
• Act as the primary client contact, overseeing delivery quality, team performance, and timelines.
• Maintain expert‑level knowledge of SAP FICO and enforce best practices across all projects.
• Align SAP FICO strategies with overall organisational goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on SAP experience, specifically with FICO modules.
• At least 2 years in a leadership role (Manager, Architect, Owner, Coordinator).
• Experience managing teams of 5+ members.
• Participation in at least two full‑cycle SAP implementations or product launches.
• Strong understanding of Agile (Scrum) methodologies and software/application architecture.
• Proven ability to balance technical, business, and team‑management responsibilities.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
