Senior 3rd Line / Software Maintenance Engineer

About the role

Join EPAM's global Cloud Hosting team as a Senior 3rd Line / Software Maintenance Engineer. You will work remotely from anywhere in Armenia, supporting cloud infrastructure platforms that enable fast application and service development.

Key responsibilities

• Own EKS cluster management and related automations.
• Solve problems across the full technology stack.
• Develop high‑quality, stable code for automation and internal customer‑facing APIs.
• Participate in a support and on‑call rota (approximately 1 week per 2‑3 months).
• Write and publish high‑level designs and developer documentation.
• Contribute to release planning, workload prioritisation and scheduling.
• Design for privacy, security, compliance, high availability, performance and resilience.
• Analyse requirements, evaluate solutions and implement the best option.
• Collaborate closely with customers to deliver feature requests and bug fixes quickly.
• Work with global teams to evolve the centre of excellence for Cloud Infrastructure and Game Developer Experience.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in infrastructure development and automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Ruby or Bash.
• Strong expertise with Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform and AWS cloud services.
• Good knowledge of networking, Docker and Ansible.
• Familiarity with MongoDB.
• Excellent communication and client‑centric attitude.
