Senior Data Software Engineer – Airflow & Databricks

About the role

EPAM is seeking a Senior Data Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Apache Airflow and Databricks. The role is fully remote within Armenia, allowing you to work from home or any of our offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new data pipelines and maintain existing ones.
• Migrate legacy pipelines from BDP to Databricks.
• Maintain and enhance ML ETL pipelines, supporting model training and deployment.
• Monitor daily pipeline health and resolve incidents promptly.
• Perform data integration, transformation, and ensure data quality.
• Contribute to database design, optimization, and documentation.
• Collaborate with the team using BitBucket, Jira, Confluence, and Teams.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional data engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python, Spark, and PySpark.
• Hands‑on experience with Databricks and AWS cloud services.
• Background in machine‑learning model development, training, and deployment.
• Fluent English with excellent documentation skills.
