Senior iOS Mobile Engineer

About the role

Buymie is looking for a Senior iOS Mobile Engineer to help build and maintain high‑quality grocery‑delivery applications. You will work closely with product, design, and engineering teams to deliver performant, user‑friendly features for customers across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, maintainable, and extensible Swift/Objective‑C code.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the iOS app.
• Debug and resolve production issues promptly.
• Collaborate regularly with engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Evaluate and adopt new technologies to improve development efficiency.
• Identify and fix bottlenecks, performance problems, and bugs.
• Translate designs and wireframes into functional iOS applications.
• Follow Apple’s Human Interface Guidelines to deliver excellent UI/UX.
• Estimate task complexity and self‑manage delivery of medium to large features.
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement discussions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional iOS development experience.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and the mobile development lifecycle.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities and ability to work independently.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
