Senior Legal Counsel

About the role

We are a leading global financial services organization seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our international Legal function. This role goes beyond traditional advisory work, requiring close collaboration with senior business stakeholders to deliver commercially focused legal solutions in a fast‑paced, global environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide legal advice across commercial, corporate and regulatory matters.
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts and vendor agreements.
• Support legal aspects of payments, fundraising and corporate governance.
• Partner with internal teams to identify, assess and manage legal risk.
• Deliver commercially minded legal solutions that align with business objectives.

Required profile

• 8–10 years post‑qualification experience (PQE).
• Qualified lawyer with a recognised law degree.
• Experience in Financial Services, FinTech, Brokerage or Trading.
• Strong background in commercial contracts, corporate and regulatory law.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Commercially minded with sound legal judgement.
• Comfortable working with international stakeholders.
• Collaborative, solutions‑oriented and able to thrive in a fast‑paced environment.
