Senior Mobile Engineer (Android)

About the role

Buymie is looking for a Senior Mobile Engineer specialized in Android to help build high‑quality, innovative mobile applications that enhance the grocery‑delivery experience for customers across Ireland.

Key responsibilities

• Write clean, concise, and extensible Kotlin/Java code.
• Ensure optimal performance, quality, and responsiveness of the app.
• Collaborate frequently with engineers, product managers, and designers.
• Identify, debug, and resolve bugs, crashes, and performance issues in development and production.
• Optimize application performance and scalability.
• Translate designs and wireframes into functional UI using Material Design principles.
• Stay up‑to‑date with mobile technology trends and adopt best practices.
• Estimate task complexity and self‑manage delivery of medium to large features.
• Work closely with cross‑functional engineering teams to achieve project goals.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• More than 6 years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and ability to work independently.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
