Senior PHP Developer

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Senior PHP Developer to own technical decisions and help shape the next generation of our electronic document management solutions. You will work closely with a strong engineering team on high‑impact projects while modernising our technology stack.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new backend functionality and maintain existing projects.
• Design and evolve backend architecture for high‑load applications.
• Refactor and optimise existing codebases and database queries.
• Participate in the development and launch of new company products.
• Perform code reviews and contribute to technical decision‑making.
• Collaborate with the team to improve engineering processes and best practices.

Required profile

• 4–5+ years of commercial PHP development experience.
• Strong knowledge of PHP 7/8 and OOP/SOLID principles.
• Professional proficiency in Russian (written and spoken).
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and make technical decisions.

Required skills

• PHP (7/8)
• Symfony, Laravel or Zend Framework
• SQL and relational databases (experience with PostgreSQL is a plus)
• Unit testing with PHPUnit
• Git, Linux and modern development tools
• Docker and CI/CD pipelines (nice to have)
• Application performance optimisation
