Senior Platform Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build and maintain internal platforms that give development teams self‑service capabilities for deploying, monitoring and managing applications at scale. This fully remote position lets you work from anywhere in Armenia, whether from home or our offices in Yerevan or Gyumri.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate internal platforms that enable self‑service deployment, monitoring and management for multiple development teams.
• Create and maintain standardized tools, frameworks and libraries to streamline workflows and promote best practices.
• Integrate development tools and services across the platform ecosystem, ensuring high availability, reliability and performance.
• Measure and improve delivery performance using DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, MTTR).
• Stay up‑to‑date with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously enhance platform functionality.
• Collaborate with development, operations and security teams to ensure seamless integration and support of applications.
• Provide documentation, training and technical guidance to resolve platform‑related issues.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in platform engineering, DevOps or related roles.
• Strong understanding of software development processes, CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Excellent English communication skills (spoken, written, reading).

Required skills

• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
• Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, CloudFormation, Bicep.
• GitOps tools: Flux, ArgoCD.
• Resource management tools: Crossplane, Pulumi, AWS Controllers for Kubernetes (ACK).
• Internal Developer Platforms: Backstage, Humanitec, OpsLevel.
• Scripting: Bash, Shell, Python.
• Experience with high‑availability, multi‑data‑center and hybrid‑cloud environments.
• Familiarity with DORA metrics.
