Senior QA Engineer – Web Applications (Kotlin/Java)

About the role

JetBrains is looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join the Business Applications Development team. You will help ensure the quality of web‑based sales and licensing services written primarily in Kotlin.

Key responsibilities

• Design, improve, and execute test scenarios for new and existing features.
• Perform daily exploratory testing on web applications.
• Investigate, reproduce, and document complex user‑reported issues.
• Participate in project discussions and review feature requirements.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other teams to find optimal solutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience testing web applications or SaaS products (white‑box).
• Strong knowledge of browser tools such as DevTools and Postman, and familiarity with code sniffers.
• Ability to read and write Java/Kotlin code.
• Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries.
• Clear understanding of application architecture and web security mechanisms.
• Comfort working in varied processes, environments, and with Linux command‑line tools.
• Data‑driven decision making and openness to different viewpoints.
