Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Research & Development team in Yerevan. The role focuses on ensuring the quality of a cloud‑based workflow orchestration platform that coordinates data processing, validation, transformation and publishing across multiple services and cloud components.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain automated tests for backend workflow systems.
• Create integration and end‑to‑end test scenarios covering complex multi‑step business processes.
• Validate integrations between backend services, internal APIs, cloud components and external dependencies.
• Analyse test failures, logs, cloud events and workflow states to identify root causes.
• Build and maintain Python‑based automation tools and test utilities.
• Support and improve cloud‑based test infrastructure using AWS services such as S3, Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, IAM and EventBridge.
• Set up, maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines for automated test execution and reporting.
• Collaborate with developers, DevOps and product stakeholders to define test strategy and improve system quality.
• Mentor less experienced team members in Python automation and SQA best practices.

Required profile

• 8+ years of professional experience, with at least 4 years focused on test automation.
• Strong Python programming skills for automation and backend test logic.
• Solid understanding of SQA fundamentals, including test design, regression testing and risk‑based testing.
• Hands‑on experience testing APIs, backend services or distributed systems.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
