Software Development Engineer

About the role

We are a distributed engineering team building custom programmatic advertising platforms for clients across the US, UK, and EU. As a Backend Engineer, you will create high‑performance services that enable publishers to maximize revenue and advertisers to achieve better outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, ship, and maintain real‑time services handling up to 1 million bidding requests per second.
• Balance product and customer priorities with operational and technical needs.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, unit tests, integration tests, end‑to‑end tests and continuous integration.
• Collaborate closely with UI and product teams to deliver customer‑focused services.
• Integrate with large international online advertising platforms.
• Enrich ad inventory using signals such as user interests, page context, and buying behavior.
• Develop new advertising methods within the Google Privacy Sandbox environment.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Software Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of software engineering experience with strong OOP skills.
• Willingness to learn Lua (training provided) and experience with any backend language.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and optimization.
• Excellent English communication skills.
• Strong commitment to quality design, automated testing, and documentation.
• Proactive ownership and problem‑solving attitude.
