Software Engineer, C++

About the role

Align Technology is looking for a Software Engineer with strong C++ expertise to develop tools that automate orthodontic treatment planning. You will work with cross‑functional, multiregional teams to build and maintain features for a Windows‑based 3D CAD system and AWS cloud services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, debug, and maintain C++17 and Python components.
• Prototype and develop new functionality for internal applications.
• Write and improve software requirement specifications and design documents.
• Enhance existing algorithms, code quality, performance, and maintainability.
• Participate in code reviews, unit testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage CI tools, branching, build, and deployment plans.
• Investigate and resolve technical issues in development, production, or customer‑impacting scenarios.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA, product owners, clinical stakeholders, and support junior team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong knowledge of C++17, STL, OOP, data structures, and algorithms.
• Practical experience with Python development.
• Good problem‑solving, independent work, and communication skills.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher.
