Test Automation Architect – JavaScript & Python

About the role

Join EPAM's Testing Competency Center as a Test Automation Architect, driving modern automation strategies across JavaScript and Python ecosystems. You will shape scalable, AI‑enhanced testing solutions and embed them into the software development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end test automation architectures using JavaScript (Playwright, Cypress) and/or Python (pytest, Robot Framework).
• Define automation strategies, select frameworks, and set up the required tooling and infrastructure.
• Build automation frameworks from scratch, ensuring maintainability, reusability, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve test coverage, execution speed, and quality metrics.
• Prototype AI‑driven testing solutions such as test generation, self‑healing tests, and quality insights.
• Support presales activities with solution design, estimations, and technical proposals.
• Mentor teams and promote best practices in test automation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on test automation experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and/or Python automation tools.
• Proven ability to build automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps, and modern SDLC practices.
• Experience integrating automation with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.).
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and B2+ English communication.
