Test Automation Architect (JavaScript / Python)

About the role

Join EPAM’s Testing Competency Center as a Test Automation Architect, driving modern automation strategies across JavaScript and Python ecosystems. You will shape scalable, AI‑enhanced testing solutions and embed them into the software development lifecycle while working fully remotely from anywhere in Armenia.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement end‑to‑end test automation architectures using JavaScript and/or Python.
• Define automation strategies, select frameworks, and set up supporting infrastructure.
• Build and scale automation frameworks from scratch with a focus on maintainability and reusability.
• Collaborate with Development, DevOps, and QA teams to integrate automation into CI/CD pipelines.
• Improve test coverage, execution speed, and quality metrics.
• Prototype AI‑driven testing solutions such as test generation, self‑healing, and quality insights.
• Support presales activities by contributing to solution design, estimations, and technical proposals.
• Mentor teams and promote best practices in test automation.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on test automation experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript (e.g., Playwright, Cypress) and/or Python (e.g., pytest, Robot Framework).
• Proven ability to build automation frameworks from the ground up.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD, DevOps practices, and modern SDLC.
• Experience integrating automation with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and a drive to improve inefficient QA processes.
• Good communication skills with B2+ English proficiency.
