Analog Design Intern - NVM IP

About the role

Synopsys, which designs high-performance silicon chips, is looking for an Analog Design Intern to join its Non-Volatile Memory (NVM) IP team. The intern works on One-Time Programmable (OTP) and Multi-Time Programmable (MTP) memory IPs and chips, running alongside senior designers on analog circuit design, simulation and verification.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in designing analog blocks for NVM IPs, including charge pumps, high-voltage switches, sense amplifiers and bandgap references.
• Run SPICE simulations to verify circuit performance across PVT corners and Monte Carlo mismatches.
• Develop an understanding of NVM operations and the physics and constraints of OTP and MTP memory architectures.
• Work alongside senior designers to support analog circuit design, simulation and verification.
• Use AI tools to support analog design, simulation analysis and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics or a closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good technical documentation and communication skills.

Required skills

• Foundational knowledge of CMOS technology, MOSFET device physics and basic analog building blocks.
• Familiarity with industry-standard EDA tools such as Cadence Virtuoso or Synopsys Custom Compiler.
• Ability to use AI tools to support analog design, simulation analysis and technical documentation.
