Back Office Specialist – Securities Settlement and Accounting

About the role

Sirius Capital CJSC, an investment company, is hiring a Back Office Specialist in Yerevan. The post covers securities settlement and accounting operations, documentation, and coordination with international securities depositories and custodians. It is a permanent, full-time position.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and submit settlement instructions (DVP/RVP, FOP) and manage incoming and outgoing client securities transfers, monitoring matching and investigating rejections and mismatches
• Maintain counterparties' Standard Settlement Instructions and reconcile securities positions and cash balances daily with depositories, custodians and counterparties
• Monitor trade settlement across international and domestic markets, handle failed trades and confirm transactions with counterparties
• Process corporate actions (dividends, redemptions, tender offers, splits, conversions), notify clients, collect instructions and allocate proceeds after payment receipt
• Handle withholding tax matters, prepare W-8BEN forms and tax residency certificates, and support tax reclaim procedures
• Open and close accounts, prepare client questionnaires, statements, reports and certificates, and archive documentation
• Take part in regulatory reporting and coordinate with Compliance on AML/KYC and sanctions screening

Required profile

• Higher education in Economics, Finance or Law
• At least 2 years of back office experience in a brokerage, bank, asset management company or custodian
• Practical experience with Euroclear and/or Clearstream and foreign custodians
• Understanding of the trade lifecycle, DVP/FOP, matching and settlement cycles
• Fluency in Armenian and Russian; English at professional level

Required skills

• Knowledge of SWIFT MT5xx messages (MT540-548, MT564-566, MT535-536)
• Advanced Excel, including pivot tables and VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
• Attention to detail and accuracy under tight deadlines
