Cinematographer & Co‑Founder

About the role

We are looking for a Cinematographer & Co‑Founder to shape the visual identity of Sereem Film House, a new Armenian film house focused on turning real human stories into cinematic films. This role combines hands‑on cinematography with entrepreneurial responsibilities as you help build the business from the ground up.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cinematography and visual direction for short films, documentaries and personal stories.
• Plan and execute professional‑quality shoots, handling camera, lenses, lighting, and sound equipment.
• Develop visual concepts, translate narratives into cinematic scenes, and work with natural environments and real people.
• Participate in pre‑production, filming and post‑production decisions, shaping Sereem’s distinctive visual style.
• Collaborate on creative concepts, build relationships with clients and partners, and contribute ideas for company growth.

Required profile

• Skilled cinematographer or professional videographer with a strong eye for visual storytelling.
• Comfortable working independently, taking ownership and experimenting with documentary‑style storytelling.
• Entrepreneurial mindset, eager to co‑found and grow a new film business.
• Passion for authentic, human‑centered stories and willingness to work in real‑world environments.

Required skills

• Camera operation and handling of professional lenses.
• Lighting setup and control for various shooting conditions.
• Sound recording and basic audio equipment use.
• Cinematography techniques for documentary and narrative formats.

What we offer

• Co‑founder equity and creative ownership of a new Armenian film house.
• Opportunity to shape the company’s visual identity and experiment with new storytelling formats.
• Real filmmaking projects rather than repetitive commercial work.
• Long‑term growth potential as the business expands.
