Internal Audit Specialist

About the role

The Internal Audit Specialist will support the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, and compliance processes within the client’s organization. This role involves reviewing accounting data, monitoring operations, and delivering audit findings to senior management.

Key responsibilities

• Review the accuracy, reliability, and validity of accounting data and management information.
• Monitor ongoing operations, internal controls, and key risks.
• Conduct audits and reviews across structural units and business processes.
• Collect, analyze, evaluate, and document information obtained during audits.
• Prepare audit reports, findings, and observations and present them to company management.
• Identify deficiencies and compliance issues and provide practical recommendations for corrective actions.
• Assess the effectiveness of financial management and control systems and their compliance with applicable legislation.
• Prepare and submit the annual internal audit report and follow up on audit findings.

Required profile

• University degree in Audit, Finance, Risk Management, Accounting or a related field.
• Preferably 3+ years of experience in internal or external audit (candidates with slightly less experience may be considered).
• Excellent command of Armenian and English; good knowledge of Russian.
• Strong knowledge of international professional standards for internal auditing and relevant Armenian legislation.
• Relevant certifications such as CIA, ACCA, CFA or qualifications required by the Central Bank of Armenia are a strong advantage.
• High level of integrity, responsibility, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
