Lead Data Software Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a hands‑on Lead Data Software Engineer with deep expertise in Apache Spark and large‑scale distributed computing. The role covers the full lifecycle of our data infrastructure, from designing ingestion solutions to ensuring reliable, scalable pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement robust data ingestion pipelines using cloud‑native and big‑data technologies, selecting appropriate tech stacks for scalability and performance.
• Lead and mentor a team of engineers, providing daily guidance and ensuring delivery of high‑quality solutions.
• Manage the full technical stack, including configuration, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines for efficient processing and analysis.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and data architects to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews, enforce development testing standards, and uphold SDLC best practices.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all data engineering projects.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data‑related issues promptly to maintain reliability.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in data software engineering, focusing on large‑scale distributed systems.
• Proven track record designing modular components and selecting technology stacks for long‑term performance.
• Experience leading a team and acting as the technical liaison for customers.
• Strong communication skills in English (B2+ level) and ability to handle multiple projects efficiently.
