Manual QA Tester – Web & API

About the role

We are looking for a QA engineer who takes ownership of quality, not just test execution. You will understand business goals, anticipate risks, and ensure features meet user expectations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the quality of assigned products and features end‑to‑end, covering functionality, usability and business fit.
• Go beyond acceptance criteria to discover edge cases, missed scenarios and real‑world user behaviours.
• Test and monitor critical flows such as registration, forms, funnels, payments and email journeys.
• Perform manual testing of web applications for functionality, usability, accessibility and performance across browsers and devices.
• Test REST APIs and validate integrations with internal and third‑party systems.
• Validate analytics and tracking (e.g., GA4, GTM events) on key journeys.
• Create and maintain clear test plans, test cases and regression suites focused on business risk.
• Report issues with detailed reproduction steps, context and impact.
• Collaborate with developers, designers and product managers to clarify requirements early.
• Identify automation opportunities and contribute to automated regression coverage.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience testing web applications.
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, test design techniques and the SDLC.
• Good knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript and how web applications work (HTTP, cookies, caching, client vs server).
• Confidence with browser DevTools for investigating issues.
• Experience testing REST APIs with tools such as Postman or Insomnia.
• Familiarity with Jira or similar bug‑tracking and test‑management tools.
• Comfort using AI tools to speed up test design while verifying their output.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to challenge assumptions.
