Mid-level Penetration Tester – Security Testing

About the role

Digitainsoftware is seeking a motivated Mid-level Penetration Tester to strengthen the security of client systems and applications. You will work closely with cross‑functional teams to uncover vulnerabilities, provide remediation guidance, and help maintain a robust security posture.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive penetration testing on networks, web, mobile applications, and infrastructure.
• Execute both manual and automated testing methodologies to discover security flaws.
• Analyze findings, validate impact, and produce detailed reports for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development, system administration, and other teams to recommend and verify remediation actions.
• Stay current with emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and attack techniques.
• Contribute to improving testing frameworks, tools, and processes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining security policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Participate in incident response investigations and remediation.
• Mentor junior team members and support their skill development.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in penetration testing or quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a creative, out‑of‑the‑box mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
• High ethical standards, integrity, and a commitment to confidentiality.

Required skills

• Penetration testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies.
• Network protocols, web application architecture, and operating systems.
• Knowledge of OWASP, NIST, and ISO 27001 security standards.
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance such as GDPR, HIPAA, and PCI DSS.
