Senior Backend Developer (Python)

About the role

A technology solutions provider is looking for a Senior Backend Developer in Armenia to join its engineering team and build high-performance, reliable and scalable backend systems. The company serves businesses across many industries by delivering innovative, scalable and secure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, optimize and maintain robust backend applications using Python (Django is a plus).
• Design and implement scalable microservices architectures.
• Use AWS services such as ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3 and RDS to design, develop and deploy cloud applications.
• Work with Kubernetes to deploy and manage containerized applications.
• Ensure backend systems stay performant, reliable and secure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define system architecture and technical strategy.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and optimize system efficiency and reduce downtime.

Required profile

• 7+ years of professional software development experience focused on backend technologies.
• Fluent Ukrainian.
• Strong debugging skills and a solid understanding of performance optimization.
• Ability to work with developers, product managers and engineers.

Required skills

• Python; Django experience is a bonus.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Cloud deployment with AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS).
• Microservices and distributed systems.
• Relational and NoSQL databases.
• Preferred: CI/CD pipelines, Docker, DevOps principles.
