Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Partao is building a global marketplace for heavy‑machinery parts and needs a senior DevOps engineer to own the reliability, scalability and performance of its cloud infrastructure. You will lead the design, automation and operation of AWS services and CI/CD pipelines, working closely with backend, frontend and data teams to keep the platform fast, secure and stable.

Key responsibilities

• Design, manage and optimise Partao’s AWS environment (S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, CloudFront, IAM).
• Build, maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions for rapid, reliable deployments.
• Monitor and ensure uptime, performance and security of production and staging environments.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting solutions (e.g., CloudWatch).
• Support backend teams with environment setup, configuration and troubleshooting.
• Automate recurring infrastructure and deployment tasks.
• Collaborate with engineers and product teams to safely release new features.
• Continuously review system performance and recommend cost‑optimisation or reliability improvements.

Required profile

• 5–6 years of hands‑on experience in DevOps, cloud or infrastructure engineering.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot live systems and drive quick recovery.
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Experience in a fast‑moving, early‑stage startup environment is a plus.

Required skills

• AWS services: S3, Lambda, RDS, EC2, CloudFront, IAM.
• CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
• Monitoring and alerting tools such as CloudWatch.
• Scripting in Python (basic).
• Knowledge of event‑driven systems (Kafka, SQS).
• Understanding of networking, load balancing and AWS security best practices.
